There are four classrooms available for preschoolers.

      Our Green Room is our three-year-old class. Kiddos in this class turn three by the beginning of school in September. There are two options for the Green Room, either MWF or T/TH from 9:00-12:00. The Green Room has a consistent routine of table time, morning meeting, centers, recess, and closing circle. The maximum size for this classroom is 14.  

      Our Blue Room is our "young 4's." These kiddos all turn 4 by December. They meet Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00-12:00. There is an option to add Fridays too, but only half of the class is able to join. Smaller Friday classes will permit the teachers to do some small group things like cooking, group projects, and more.  Blue Room routine is similar to that of the Green Room, but they provide more writing and early literacy opportunities. The maximum size for this room is 16.

     The Purple Room is for the kids that turn 4 by the beginning of school in September. About ¾ of these kids head to Kindergarten the following year. Purple meets Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-12:00.

          The Orange Room children all turn 5 by December, and all will go to Kindergarten the following year. They meet Monday-Friday from 9:00-12:00.

Both Purple and Orange learn through play too, but they also work on handwriting, letter recognition and sounds, number recognition and values, etc. These two rooms cap at 16 children.

Kindernook does not offer all day preschool.
